- At the time of our initial meeting, they had a desktop app (v0) for their customers and they wanted to have a SaaS-based application (v1) moving forward
- During these initial phases of development, the system was lacking the necessary infrastructure and testing practices to ensure stability
- They worked with a couple of freelancers without gaining much. They possessed limited in-house expertise in testing methodologies
- Their objective was to release v1 and v2 with an aggressive timeframe in mind as they were receiving several customer inquires which v0 was incapable to handle
- Our Test Automation capabilities were requested through a dedicated senior automation tester to device a test strategy and initiate the practice from scratch
Prowerse Approach
- Prowerse helped develop a comprehensive UI and API automation framework for our client
- Designed and implemented a UI automation framework, enabling cross-browser and responsive testing to ensure the system works seamlessly across different screen sizes, which was essential for client’s early-stage development
- Built a robust API automation framework and developed Postman API tests to ensure API functionality, stability, and performance, helping identify and fix critical issues early
- Integrated automation into client’s CI/CD pipeline, automating continuous testing and streamlining the deployment process, ensuring error-free releases and faster development cycles
- Performed detailed manual testing on UI components and application functionality, ensuring consistency and accuracy across multiple device sizes
- Contributed to improving the test coverage across the platform by automating key workflows, edge cases, and responsive tests, ensuring greater system reliability in various environments
- Collaborated with the development team to optimise test execution, reducing testing cycles and accelerating feedback on new features, making the system more error-free and reliable
- Generated comprehensive test reports, offering real-time insights into test results, coverage, and quick issue identification for immediate resolution
